Alain Bravo is currently Director General of Supélec (Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité), a "grande école" of engineering in the forefront of Energy and Information Science.

Alain Bravo was France Telecom’s Executive Vice President-Operations from 1980 to 1985, after which he joined Vivendi where he founded SFR, the first French private mobile operator. As of 1995, he joined Alcatel as President of Mobile Networks Division and then Director of Research & Technology.

He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris. From 1997 to 2004, he was Chairman of the Board of Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne. Alain Bravo was President of the Advisory board of the French National Network of Research in Telecommunications.
